Limahl – Never Ending Story – The Astro Dancer Dub
Whenever a major artist, or indeed any artist, issues new single material, there is usually an aftershock of unofficial remixes in their wake produced by a plethora of accomplished amateur DJ’s and mixers. KajaFax is especially interested in this most interesting area – that of collectible mixes – especially during the build up to the release of the first tranche of ‘1983’ mixes hitting the internet.
We are aware that 1983 is being reworked as we speak, and excitedly await the imminent release of finished product from people such as Vinny Vero and Northern Kind’s Matt Culpin. While we wait for these mixes to become available, KajaFax looks back upon mixes of older tracks that are available to download.
Today, we feature Astro Dancer’s rework of Limahl’s number one global smash hit The NeverEnding Story.
The song was composed by Giorgio Moroder with vocals provided by Limahl and Beth Anderson. Referencing both the title of the song and indeed the actual movie, the track fades both in and out and thus has no distinctive beginning nor end…..neverending perhaps?

Limahl and Kajagoogoo in Rock Star Magazine (inc flexi disc)
In another exclusive feature, KajaFax has again plundered its archives to bring you this great ‘Goo article. Today, we are proud to present full, high quality scans taken from Japanese music magazine Rock Star.
Published in 1984, the magazine is more akin to a book in its presentation, with this edition featuring artists such as Duran Duran, Kajagoogoo, David Bowie, Limahl & Wham! in all their glossy A4 glory!

And now….the icing on the Kajacake. Rock Star magazine also contained another gem, in the form of a terrific flexi disc. The disc contains interview content from Duran Duran, Boy George, Wham, and of course Limahl.

Ego Trip – Krokodilian EP
The Askew magic continues, the brand new EP from Ego Trip is released today featuring Courtney Askew-Conti on vocals and guitars and produced at REDdot Studios by the man himself, Steve Askew.
After a few months of re-incarnations and instrument-swapping, Ego Trip’s lineup finally took shape in September 2011, settling on a four-piece consisting of former schoolmates Mikey Ciancio, Ollie Smith and Courtney Askew-Conti, together with Adam Murphy – a previous bandmate of Courtney’s.
Ego Trip have made numerous appearances on such radio shows as BBC Three Counties Radio, Luton’s Diverse FM and Milton Keynes’ Radio MK as well as playing gigs extensively in various venues around the area, including a county final slot at MMG’s Battle of the Bands.
Empowered by their new debut EP produced and engineered by Steve Askew at REDdot Studio, along with a consequently rapidly-growing fanbase, Ego Trip are entering the 2012 with a spring in their step, expecting much hard work, regular gigging and writing more new material. The year looks promising for bigger and better things.

Hello Kajagoogoo fans, and in particular fans of Steve Askew
We thought that we would let you know that Kajagoogoo guitarist Steve Askew is back in the studio writing with UK female singer songwriter Lu Cozma.
You may remember a few years back Lu and Steve recorded and released the critically acclaimed album RED, produced by legendary Human League Producer Martin Rushent.
This album is available on iTunes and signed CD’s by Lu and Steve are available on Lu’s website at www.lucozma.com
Steve and Lu are in the REDdot Studios in Leighton Buzzard writing the follow up to the album, which is sounding stunning, and we hope to get that out at the end of the year.
We are pleased to let you know that Steve and Lu are out performing live in 2012, and they would very much love to see you at the gigs, where they will be performing songs from RED and some new tracks from their forthcoming album.

Limahl – Updates
Today, KajaFax brings you an ‘end of week’ round-up of all of the latest news from, and media appearances by Limahl.
To begin, we focus on Limahl’s recent appearance on Norwegian based TV station TV2, which is the largest commercial television station in Norway.
Filmed in London, this outdoor clip was shown on primetime Norwegian show ‘Good Evening Norway!’ and is now available to view online via the TV2 online web player, or if you prefer, here:
Limahl has also been busy with radio promotion, taking time out last Thursday to speak to the BBC.

Regular readers of KajaFax will be aware that we at ‘KajaFax HQ’ strive to bring you the very best in Kajagoogoo content at all times. Well, today is one of those times where we can say with absolute assurance that we have succeeded in doing just that!
It is with great pleasure that we are proud to bring you, straight from the KajaFax archives, this unique collection of candid photographs. Taken between 1983 and 1984, the photos show Kajagoogoo behind the scenes at various places and events. The photos range from the ‘Gimpy Dak Records’ office, to backstage in the dressing room at the BBC’s Top of the Pops Studios, and are completely unique.
