SPACE CADETS GO LUNAR!
Scientists from the NASA headquarters in Washington DC have revealed that they are to send new wave pop legends Kajagoogoo to the moon for a special photo shoot.
NASA spokesman Dr. Ron Topper said ‘After hearing the album Gone to the Moon, we approached the band and asked if they’d like to be part of this amazing adventure. I spoke with Nick Beggs for around an hour and realised we had the right people, we’re really excited about this. They’re a true bunch of space cadets and we’re sending them lunar. It’s essentially a homecoming for the guys’.
It is not known whether the band will perform live on the moon, Jez Strode had concerns over gravity affecting his drumming action. He said, ‘will gravity affect my drumming?’
NASA astronaut training manager Chip Watson said, ‘It’s a massive project for all of us, the training is extensive and the mission is dangerous. We’re looking to have the band up there around April 1st 2012’.
