KajaGooGoo 1982 Demo Tape Content
Back on June 27th 2011, we brought you pictures of an incredible KajaGooGoo demo tape from 1982 featuring two tracks, ‘White Feathers’ and ‘This Car is Fast’.
We’ve now had permission from the band to share the content so without any further ado, here is that demo tape featuring both tracks and introduction from Steve Conley.
We do hope you enjoy the new style of video presentation in this feature, we’d love to hear your comments about the demo’s and the video itself.

Wooooooow! What a gem! But I can’t see, can’t hear anything, there is just a black squareโฆ :-(((
ditto, would be great to hear but blackness is all pervailing!
This is very unusual. I’ve just logged out and accessed the site in the way that everyone else does and I see the video perfectly :-\
I’ll try adding the direct youtube link into the post and see if that helps at all…
Direct link added, can you try to see if that works please?
I can view it fine. Is it a non-UK thing perhaps?
Not sure Steve, it’s just on YouTube.com like everything else we’ve done so can’t see why it would have any country restrictions.
Great to hear, like the new video format too.
Awesome!! Thanks Lee ๐
Not a regional thing. Worked just fine for me. ๐
They’re a little rougher but still sound terrific! Interesting to hear Limahl singing in his lower register on “This Car is Fast.” He’s usually in his upper register. And how much more electronic “White Feathers” was. I’m betting a copy of this is what Limahl gave Nick Rhodes.
And Stevie, fun hearing your voice too. ๐
Thanks for confirming that J’nae. Definitely more electronic on White Feathers and I love it!!
You’re right about Limahl’s vocal too, much lower.
Glad my little appearance on there didn’t spoil it!!
Cool early versions indeed and fun to hear for the first time.
Wonder if any other demo-tracks are out there somewhere??
Well Anders, there is the ‘Shy Shy’ (Too Shy) demo. The band played the tape to the crowd at some of the gigs on the last tour.
Now it works. Thanx, great!
