Nick’s Christmas Mix
How many of you knew that back in 1984, Nick Beggs wrote a Christmas book?
Well, indeed he did and this book is out there to be found, here it is:

The book is packed with photos and articles and Christmas fare, it’s well worth picking up if you can track one down.
Here is the intro from Nick:

One for the Christmas list, perhaps?

Did Stables 2008 Get Recorded?
It was a good friend of mine and huge fan of the band that recently mentioned to me about his ponderings over what had ever happened to the recorded footage of the KajaGooGoo concert from ‘The Stables’ venue in December 2008.
‘What recorded footage’ was my surprised reply!!
I had completely forgotten about something printed on the ticket which referred to the fact that the concert would indeed be recorded:
And there we have it, ‘performance will be filmed’ in the bottom right of the ticket!
I’ve never seen this footage nor heard anything about whether that show did actually get recorded. If it did, I’d obviously love to see it.
If anyone knows whether this show did get recorded, please do let me know!
White Feathers Undestroyed Promo
Once in a while, a very rare item crops up that is so extremely rare, it’s just a pleasure to see it. This is one of those items. Fellow Goo fan ‘Steven AKA Denny’ owns this most magnificent White Feathers LP Promo with a twist! Once again, he has been delighted to allow KajaFax to share the pictures of this very special album.
This particular promotional album should have been destroyed but somehow made it through the net. Here is everything that came with the album:

Above is the very special note informing that this promo should be destroyed and never shown to dealers. We can only assume that the reason for this is the incorrect colour on the KajaGooGoo logo, different White Feathers writing colours and the incorrect bars down the left side. This can be verified by comparing it to the actual ‘final release’ album here:

This is possibly a one off, it is very difficult to know if any others exist. I’d be tempted to say no others will exist making this such a piece of history.
Huge thanks to Steven AKA Denny for sharing.

Rare Limahl Album Version
If you’re a fan of Limahl, you’ll know he released his debut solo album ‘Don’t Suppose’ in 1984. What you might not know is that there is a very rare version of this album in existence, and a very rare japanese picture disc version also. These versions are rare because of a track they do feature, and a track they don’t feature.
EMI had already released this album before Limahl was chosen to record the theme music for ‘The Neverending Story’, therefore this track originally missed the album. The first release of the album included a live track called ‘The Greenhouse Effect’. On the success of ‘The Neverending Story’, the album was pulled by EMI, and a switch of tracks was made. ‘The Greenhouse Effect’ was removed and replaced by ‘The Neverending Story’.
The track is a rare track, though it can also be heard on the B-Side of the ‘Tar Beach’ single.
It is a rare item in regular vinyl form, an even rare item in japanese picture disc form. If you want one, expect to pay more for it, if you own one, it’s worth a few bob 🙂
So, if you own the album, have a look and see if you have the common one or the rare one!!
And here for your viewing pleasure, pictures of the japanese picture disc release, owned by my good friend and fellow Goo fan, J’nae.
As you can see in the last photo there, ‘The Neverending Story’ is missing from the listing, replaced by ‘The Greenhouse Effect’.
Many fans believe that ‘The Neverending Story’ sits a lot better on the album but that’s a different story! Many people think environmental issues are a new thing, but here we have Limahl singing about the subject back in 1984.
Many thanks to J’nae for the photos.
Highly Rare Early KajaFax Issues
Back in the day, KajaFax was the official fan club of the band. Five issues of KajaFax were produced in a physical form and mailed out to fans.
These items are extremely rare and very collectable. Even getting hold of photos of these items is a difficult task so I was delighted when official forums member ‘Floh’ from Germany announced that he owns all five editions of the publication!!
He has very kindly took photos of the covers, I am hoping we can get the full content scanned which I shall of course publish!
So, here are pictures of the covers of all five KajaFax magazines, these are a very special item in the history of KajaGooGoo fans:
More detail of the content to follow. Huge thanks to ‘Floh’ for sharing these hugely rare gems!
These are one item I would very much love to own 🙂
KajaGooGoo Original Artwork

KajaFax SuperFan #1
KajaFax SuperFan Series #1
Our very first KajaFax SuperFan is Sylvia -ska from Poland.
Hi Sylvia, many thanks for agreeing to appear on KajaFax SuperFans!
Hi Steve, my pleasure.
Can you tell us how you first became a fan of the band?
It must have been the very beginning of 1983 when I heard a nice warm voice and a catchy tune on the radio. The presenter said it was a band named KajaGooGoo or something like that & the song was ‘Too Shy’. I’d never heard of either of them before, but both the band & the song caught my attention. I guess that was love at ‘first hearing’.
You’ve met the band a few times now, how were they?
Yes, I’ve met them four times so far. Every time I meet them, our relations seem to be a bit different. I mean when I met them for the first time, I wasn’t prepared for the meeting because it was a surprise, Glenn’s Valentine’s gift for helping the band with instruments and stuff like that. So, I got kind of scared when Glenn was taking me to the boys, but they were very friendly, they all knew my name and we started chatting as if we’d known each other for ages. Next meeting was completely different. I wasn’t afraid to meet them, I wasn’t thinking of what to talk about. It all went naturally. Then when I came to London and met Nick and Steve with Anna in the street, they recognised me and we had a wonderful time talking together before and after the gig. This year at Henley, everything went crazy. We had so much fun chatting and fooling around. Loads of funny photos were taken. To sum up, they are really wonderful people and great musicians.
You were at the Rewind Festival in the UK in August 2010, how was that performance?
Yes, I was in Henley. Oh, the gig was much too short! Six songs are not enough when you are used to at least one hour and a half concerts. But it was splendid! And the crowd were wonderful.
What do you think of the situation with the band and their management and how things went after the 2009 tour?
I guess, we’re talking about Glenn, aren’t we? My personal opinion is that Glenn was the best manager KajaGooGoo could ever dream of – a perfectionist in everything he was doing, a very dedicated man and a person who always treated fans with all due respect. I know how much hard work and dedication Glenn put in all the European gigs, UK Space Cadet Tour and all the promotion, as well as in kajagoogoo.com, kajashop etc. I think those were the best days of the re-united KajaGooGoo. Things may never be the same without Mr Goo.
How would you convince someone to check out the band and see what they are all about?
People say that when I talk about music I love I can be very persuasive and that all my excitement, passion and love for the band can be contagious. Actually, I’ve managed to convince quite a number of people that KajaGooGoo are worth having a try to get to know what their music is all about.
KajaGooGoo with Limahl were and still are my first musical love. Their music had a great impact on my life. I’ve always thought the five of them were a perfect match. I was very angry and disappointed after they’d split but their music has given me the faith for the better times and… they reunited! I’ve been waiting for that for… er… 25 years? That reunion let me have all that I missed as a teenager. AND! I’ve met wonderful Kaja fans and made friends with some of them…
Okay, onto the three quick fire questions!
What’s your favourite KajaGooGoo track?
White Feathers
What’s your favourite KajaGooGoo album?
White Feathers
Who’s your favourite KajaGooGoo band member?
Are you kidding me? Everybody, including Kaja boys, knows the answer. I love all the boys, but Limo is my favourite one.
• a new album
• a live DVD
• gigs, gigs, gigs (at least a few in Poland, of course)
• health, wealth and happiness.
What message would you like to give to the band?
You, as KajaGooGoo, are the best band ever, so please do find some time to work together as KGG and let us enjoy some new material and gigs SOOOON. Love you loads!
What message would you like to give to the fans?
Guys, I’ve met some of you already and I know you are all wonderful Kaja people. Hope you are all healthy and happy all way through. Cheers!
Sylvia, many thanks again for talking with KajaFax.
Thanks a lot Steve! It was a real pleasure.
Scooter Never Ending Story
The Never Ending Story was given the jumpstyle treatment by Scooter on their album ‘Jumping All over the World’, released in 2007:
And to see how that compares, here is the original:
