Christmas Day is upon us and here at KajaFax, we’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Goo Year.
It’s been a quiet year for the Goo fans out there and we have great hope for more action in 2012.
A fully quiet year from KajaGooGoo as a band which has disappointed many but we mustn’t focus too much on that and instead concentrate on what we have had and what is still to come.
A very busy year from Nick Beggs, on the road for much of the year and we watch with anticipation to see what he’ll be up to in 2012. We know he has a new project underway so we wish him all the very best with that and look forward to getting our hands on that when we can!
Also a very busy year for Steve Askew working hard in the studio and out on the road. We’re really looking forward to the new Lu Cozma album and possibly some solo material from Steve. Keep an eye on KajaFax in the coming months for information on where you can see Steve live, including Hobble at the Waterside in February.
Limahl has been performing a lot and as we know, has stepped a lot closer to his fans over the past couple of months and also announced a new single to come soon, can’t wait for that one.
Limahl wanted to pass on a message to the KajaFax fans:
“A HUGE Xmas hug to the KAJAFAX website team and all the Kajagoogoo/Limahl fans. I sincerely hope you’re having a fun time whatever you’re doing this yuletide.
“Lets do Selfridges for shopping and cocktails in Mayfair”.
I will be entertaining my lovely 74 yr old mum Cynthia and will do a Skype chat with my sister and family in Spain.

Nick Beggs sent us a message and a card:

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and thank you for all your support and interest in 2011.
I have a mince pie in my heart for all of you….That sounds a bit strange but have you seen my family? Love Beggion.”

Blog Awards The Final Push!
Bloggers Choice Awards – The Final Push
Thanks to the support of our readers this year, we’ve managed to get to the top of the ‘Pop Culture’ category in the Bloggers Choice Awards by just three votes!
This set of awards is closing in December (though the exact date is not announced).
After working hard all year to fight out this category, it’s going to come down to a few votes and we really don’t want to lose this to a slim margin like that.
One final push now would hopefully see us enough ahead to seal the award which would give us extra publicity for 2012 and help spread the word.

Hobble at the Waterside
Hobble at the Waterside
I’d strongly advise that if you do anything at all in February 2012, you head over to Aylesbury and visit Hobble at the Waterside.
Aside from all the other incredible acts including Steve Rothery of Marillion no less, you will get to see Lu Cozma and Steve Askew perform live.
Aylesbury has a great history with KajaGooGoo, the band played the Friars of course and more recently, the Hobble on the Cobbles event in 2009.
This promises to be a fantastic day so take the plunge, get a ticket and get over there and enjoy the music, show the KajaFax support for Lu and Steve.
If you’ve seen them play live before then you need no persuasion but if you haven’t , here are a few videos to show you what you would be missing:
