Kajagoogoo and Limahl Cover Versions: E-girls – The Never Ending Story

June 18, 2013

KajaFax has over the years featured many remixes & cover versions of Kajagoogoo and Limahl songs.

Today, we feature a recent remake of Limahl’s smash hit The Never Ending Story.

Released in February of this year, Japanese girl group E-girls offered their take on the classic hit, proving the point that a quality song really does last the test of time…..albeit in this case with a very modern and commercial makeover.

The single made number 2 in the Japanese singles chart and probably raised Limahl’s profile in Japan tenfold in the process. The track was the 4th to be issued from their debut album and shifting over 40,000 copies in it’s first week is the group’s biggest selling single to date.

KajaFax are not so sure about this one but thought our readers may find it interesting if nothing else!

Steve! How do you manage to even find certain things???
As Scott says… It’ s quite “different” indeed!
Incredible. But a good way to bring the song back on the airwaves!

I spend too much time on the internet Cris 🙂

This version is not really my style, as the original is the best, but the track is a good way for young kids in Japan to find out about Limahl and his music.

      Thanks for commenting!
