KajaGooGoo in Smash Hits 1984

February 13, 2011

Here we have some scans from editions of Smash Hits magazines from across 1984.  These have been very kindly scanned and sent in by Darran Guy.

Apologies that the first picture encroaches into the widgets on the right side.  If you click the picture, it will open in a window where you can read it clearly.

February 1984:

Huge thanks to Darran for thinking of the site and sending all these in!

Very nice. I have most of these except the last 2. I love Limahl reviewing Lions Mouth. LOL

Funny seeing the Islands Tour dates. I was very sick off and on that summer (long story) I think I had to cancel a lot of gallivanting around, I certainly dont remember much about those couple of months in general although I am sure i went (or at least had arranged!) london, oxford, birmingham and brighton. I must have gone to some, I have a dim recollection of the support band called (I think) National Pastime and that I couldnt quite get used to seeing them onstage without Limahl, some of the dynamic was gone.

oh and i do remember Limahls review of Lions Mouth, we thought he could hardly say anything else, the split had been so public and so accrimonous that to say anything rude would have just set the row off again. He still got his small dig in with the name though 😉
