Did Stables 2008 Get Recorded?
November 29, 2010
It was a good friend of mine and huge fan of the band that recently mentioned to me about his ponderings over what had ever happened to the recorded footage of the KajaGooGoo concert from ‘The Stables’ venue in December 2008.
‘What recorded footage’ was my surprised reply!!
I had completely forgotten about something printed on the ticket which referred to the fact that the concert would indeed be recorded:
And there we have it, ‘performance will be filmed’ in the bottom right of the ticket!
I’ve never seen this footage nor heard anything about whether that show did actually get recorded.Β If it did, I’d obviously love to see it.
If anyone knows whether this show did get recorded, please do let me know!

Due to some snag the planned recording didn’t happen. I remember someone official letting us know that around the time of the concert. Too bad really, would have been nice to have had it. Someone was recording the first night though, as I did see someone with a camera, but it wasn’t what they had originally planned for and wasn’t intended for any type of release.
Well, it’s great to get the mystery solved but not so great to hear that it didn’t actually go ahead! I don’t remember anyone talking about the recording at the gig, I must have missed that bit.
It would be nice to still see that recorded footage, not as anything official, just to see it again π
Many thanks, J’nae π
Well, I know that there is some fairly decent footage of that night at the Stables back in 2008 as I have seen it (YouTube most probably) – I too saw cameras, plus there is good quality footage of the Limahl Swing show included in that promo video that has Paul Gambaccini on the voiceover (the one advertising Limahl)
The one thing that is almost certain is that the guys (or at least, somebody) will have a copy of the soundboard recording.
That would be a very nice thing to be made available to us…..
Glad you raised this point on the blog, Steve.
Steve, you’re right about the point you make of the quality footage of the Limahl swing show, someone was making a good quality recording of the show.
